PRO Infinity Member since 2009 Ok, I have installed the trial of latest VDJ 6.0.3 Pro. It is supposed to be fully functional for that 20 day period. Is that right? Still, I cannot seem to have mapping for my Reloop DJ IE 2. It just is not recognized in the Mappers Tab of VDJ configuration.
Once Reloop is connected to the PC's USB, all I get is 'Simple MIDI wrapper'. Granted, Reloop gets recognized in Sound Setup Tab as a sound card (Digital Jockey - IE2) and I can hear the sound in the headphones output. Is there still a file (or smth else) missing for VDJ 6 Pro to support the mapping for Reloop DJ IE2? Thanks, Pasha PS Sincerely, I just want to try out my Reloop IE2 controller with VDJ Pro before I pay that $300 for it.Posted Mon 23 Nov 09 @ 2:58 pm. PRO Infinity Member since 2008 Depending upon the firmware version you have to update the sysexid in the xml file to have it recognized.
Reloop Controller
Use the MIDI trace utility to find the right number for you as described in the previous post by DarthGoofy. You can see the firmware's version number incremented over the one in the downloaded mapper in the Tools & Drivers section here: (.5000 1.5000 2.) I'm starting to get myself more and more familiar and comfortable using the controller. Started to tweak the script actions to better suit my style of playing and using my setup. I verry much ike the big platter layout (touch sensitive) and the enormous amount of rotary's, buttons combined with the powerful new VDJ6 script. The only thing I'm still struggling within VDJ itself is that during start up the rotary's & button's positions are not respected by the interface. But this 'issue' is regardless of the controller used.
@DarthGoofy: For the headphone issue have a look at the routing under the ASIO configuration for the different chanels. 1+2 = master output & 3+4 = headphone/booth output.Posted Thu 26 Nov 09 @ 4:11 am. PRO Infinity Member since 2009 All right, here is my two cents about Reloop Digital Jockey (DJ) Interface Edition 2 used with VDJ Pro 6. Was planning to write it up here for a little while. To be honest, I am just starting to use Reloop DJ IE2 with VDJ 6.

Have played at 4 gigs with it. Have changed only several mappings fromt the default setup, including disabling Crossfader, as I don't use it when dj'ing. Here is a quick description of my setup: Windows XP Pro (service pack 3), VDJ Pro 6.0.2, Reloop DJ IE2 connected through a USB, sound comming out of integrated sound card on Reloop (Output RCA connectors). So there is just one USB cable comming out of PC and one RCA cable into the PA system. The good: Reliability - this is my primary concern, as I hate VDJ or (Windows) PC itself crashing in the middle of the gig with 100+ people on the dance floor. I am happy to say that Reloop DJ IE2 has been stable so far.
No unexpected hickups or crashes or anything like that during play. The feel - the buttons (especially Cue-Pause-Play) feel quiet firm and nice on the controller. Someone has already mentioned about the EQ knobs being kinda wobbly on Reloop DJ IE2, since they are push-to-kill knobs beside the standard rotary operation. This requires getting used to after using pioneer DJM 800 or similar mixers. In general, the controller feels and looks higher grade, not a cheap budget option. As far as the feel is concerned, I have to mention one more thing.

Reloop Software
The jogwheels feel different from say Pioneer CDJ player jogwheels. These here are much looser, they spin longer after realeasing hand. This also requires some getting used to. Reloop has made a througtful touch by including Pitch Bend buttons close to the joggwheels for minute adjustment when beatmixing.
The bad: The sound - the sound quality comming out of the integrated sound card is not that good. For example writing that same song onto a CD and playing it from a CD player makes for a much richer sound being heard. I would rate the integrated soundcard at 6.5 in a scale of 10. Something like that. So summing up this short review, I would recommend you guys buy Reloop DJ 2 Controller Edition. You will save some dough for an external USB card, which you may use for a better quality sound. Otherwise, a great controller, i'd say.Posted Mon 21 Dec 09 @ 4:07 pm.
Hello guys i have problem and i need some help please!finally i have tha reloop digital jockey interface edition console but the vdj 6.02 not recognized in the Mappers Tab of VDJ configuration.and i can't download the tool from here cause when i try to register the reloop digital jockey says 'the serial number is invalid!!!please some help thanks in advance Hey dj betty, basically, if you want to use Reloop with VDJ, you will have to purchase a legal copy of the software. I could use it only with an additional file found here: And for that thing you need a license. Here goes your $300.:-/ By the way, the Play button on the left deck of my Reloop DJ IE2 is getting somewhat glitchy. I guess I will have to open the unit myself and learn how to service it, since I know nobody around my place who knows how to repair that thing. I do have a warranty though.
